Radu Trică could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 15th minute of the match, but Isac Hojbota made a huge save. La Vela took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Olimpiu Rizea, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 26th minute, Lorenzo Garin made a precise shot to the right of Isac Hojbota. FC Politehnica Timisoara's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. In the 34th minute, Fan Wen Nan ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. La Vela was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Isac Hojbota took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stelian Encuțu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ghostbusters CF's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Pompiliu Crainic in the 40th minute. The corner led Ghostbusters CF's Pompiliu Crainic to fire away a dangerous shot which Isac Hojbota despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. A collision led to FC Politehnica Timisoara getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Olimpiu Rizea hit a great ball. FC Politehnica Timisoara's Isac Hojbota played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Radu Trică in the 45th minute of play. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Olimpiu Rizea stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Olimpiu Rizea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Olimpiu Rizea in the 57th minute of play forced Ghostbusters CF's goalkeeper La Vela to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Olimpiu Rizea sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. FC Politehnica Timisoara made a substitution. Ernest Manea replaced Vali Maghiar. FC Politehnica Timisoara's Isac Hojbota played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Radu Trică in the 64th minute of play. Ghostbusters CF were awarded a corner in the 65th minute after FC Politehnica Timisoara's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Pompiliu Crainic took the corner. Sabin Oncescu was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Ghostbusters CF's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Olimpiu Rizea was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Lorenzo Garin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. La Vela showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fan Wen Nan, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Olimpiu Rizea in the 88th minute of play forced Ghostbusters CF's goalkeeper La Vela to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cazimir Jitaru kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. La Vela was a little too slow when Håvard Bjørke got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 92nd minute. The score was now 1-3. After 95 played minutes FC Politehnica Timisoara got a freekick which was hit by Timmy Deckbergh. The FC Politehnica Timisoara players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
