Dumitru Berca made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alexandru Boșneag in the 5th minute of play. In the 6th minute Emil Văcărescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dumitru Berca saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dumitru Berca took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Silvio Jatsu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Emil Văcărescu charged in rather forcefully in the 11th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Emil Văcărescu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, AC MiLaN's Emil Văcărescu got a free kick in the 11th minute. Sebastian Ţugui could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 14th minute of the match, but Victor Curea made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alexandru Boșneag in the 16th minute of play forced VIP's goalkeeper Dumitru Berca to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 17th minute Alexandru Boșneag shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dumitru Berca saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 18th minute, Ilie Buhuș got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. AC MiLaN's Victor Curea proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 30th minute of the match, managed to save AC MiLaN from getting a goal against them. The AC MiLaN fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Victor Curea was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Sebastian Ţugui showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 34 minute of play. Sebastian Ţugui charged in rather forcefully in the 41st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sebastian Ţugui the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. AC MiLaN made a substitution. Franko Baresi replaced Mugurel Alexandrescu. VIP's Dumitru Berca played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Silvio Jatsu in the 47th minute of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Emil Văcărescu was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alexandru Boșneag in the 52nd minute of play forced VIP's goalkeeper Dumitru Berca to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dumitru Berca made an important save on a dangerous shot by Emil Văcărescu in the 54th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Silvio Jatsu in the 56th minute of play forced VIP's goalkeeper Dumitru Berca to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Silvio Jatsu in the 56th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dumitru Berca saved VIP from getting behind. After 57 minutes VIP's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Filip Vlaicu who took care of the corner kick. 59 minutes into the match, AC MiLaN's goal looked a bit too open when Ştefan Coșereanu came free, but Victor Curea reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Victor Curea showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sebastian Ţugui, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Emil Văcărescu got free with Dumitru Berca in the 64th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. George Chevalier charged in rather forcefully in the 65th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed George Chevalier the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, AC MiLaN's George Chevalier got a free kick in the 65th minute. Victor Curea showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sebastian Ţugui, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. Dan Barbonța took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 69th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Victor Curea. AC MiLaN's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. AC MiLaN's Ionică Vornicescu was substituted for Aurelian Acalinei. Sebastian Ţugui scored 2-1 in the 81st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Victor Curea, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to VIP getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Cumbicus Ericsson hit a great ball. 85 minutes into the match, VIP's goal looked a bit too open when Silvio Jatsu came free, but Dumitru Berca reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 89th minute, Alexandru Boșneag hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 96 minutes into the match, Filip Vlaicu sent off a long shot that looked like it was going straight into the goal, but because Dumitru Berca threw himself in his full length he managed to grip the ball by the left post, and there was no goal for Filip Vlaicu this time. For all the effort they put into the match, the AC MiLaN players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for VIP.
