In the 21st minute of the match, Cezar Cucu tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Roch Cieslak saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Gelu Alexandrescu did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-0 to the left of a surprised Roch Cieslak 24 minutes into the match. Horea Simionică made in the 26th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by FC Luck's Claudiu Creteanu. After a rather tough play, FC Luck's Narcis Voinescu got a free kick in the 28th minute. The supporters of Fotbal Club Otelul Galati booed when FC Luck was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vaani Luca didn't get a good kick on the ball.
