Spectators: 9177 (Terracing: 6884, Seating: 2111, VIP seats: 182) Sever Patriciu started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. 12 minutes into the match, FC Luck's goal looked a bit too open when Cezar Cucu came free, but Roch Cieslak reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Roch Cieslak showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gelu Alexandrescu in the 14th minute of the match. Nechifor Păunescu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sever Patriciu in the 17th minute. 18 minutes into the match, FC Luck's Sever Patriciu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nechifor Păunescu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 21st match minute, FC Luck was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Narcis Voinescu to maneuver through the defense. In the 22nd minute Cezar Cucu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roch Cieslak saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fotbal Club Otelul Galati were awarded a corner in the 23th minute after FC Luck's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Denis Dorlea took the corner. The corner ended in Denis Dorlea almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but FC Luck's Roch Cieslak did a great save. Roch Cieslak made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cezar Cucu in the 28th minute of play. After a rather tough play, FC Luck's Niculae Mercescu got a free kick in the 29th minute. Emilijano Kozapalidis kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. FC Luck's Sever Patriciu got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Fotbal Club Otelul Galati's Nechifor Păunescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sever Patriciu in the 47th minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gelu Alexandrescu made a kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 51st minute, Sever Patriciu managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Luck's supporters rose to their feet, but Sever Patriciu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nechifor Păunescu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 53rd minute of the match, Cezar Cucu got a very nice opportunity to score, but Roch Cieslak was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 55th minute Vali Cucu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roch Cieslak saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nechifor Păunescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sever Patriciu in the 56th minute of play. Niculae Mercescu hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. The long shot by Denis Dorlea in the 60th minute really tested Roch Cieslak's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Nechifor Păunescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sever Patriciu, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sever Patriciu in the 68th minute of play forced Fotbal Club Otelul Galati's goalkeeper Nechifor Păunescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nechifor Păunescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sever Patriciu in the 70th minute of the match. The supporters of FC Luck booed when Fotbal Club Otelul Galati was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Denis Dorlea didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sever Patriciu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nechifor Păunescu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 73rd minute of play. Fotbal Club Otelul Galati made a substitution. Iustin Anghelescu replaced Gelu Alexandrescu. 82 minutes had been played when some careless play by Fotbal Club Otelul Galati's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Vasile Târcă was slow to take the kick. During this time FC Luck's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Vasile Târcă got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Nechifor Păunescu quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Sever Patriciu kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. Roch Cieslak didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Iustin Anghelescu went, in the 86th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. 88 minutes into the game, Iustin Anghelescu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Roch Cieslak was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Fotbal Club Otelul Galati eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
