Spectators: 9262 (Terracing: 6948, Seating: 2130, VIP seats: 184) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Gelu Alexandrescu took the kick off in the first half of the match. Nechifor Păunescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlos Mei, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. Nechifor Păunescu came out of the goal in the 11th minute to try and stop a shot by Erdélyi SE Marosvásárhely's Carlos Mei. But to his dismay, Carlos Mei quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Nechifor Păunescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fábio Vieira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 25th minute Adrián-Daniel Dobre shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nechifor Păunescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Erdélyi SE Marosvásárhely's Carlos Mei got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cezar Cucu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 30th minute of the match, but Lyle Coppack made a huge save. With an all-out effort, Fotbal Club Otelul Galati's Lyle Coppack threw himself towards the right post 34 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Petre Săliştean, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 47th match minute, Fotbal Club Otelul Galati was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Petre Săliştean to maneuver through the defense.

With a couple of smart ball manuevers Carlos Mei in the 53rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nechifor Păunescu saved Fotbal Club Otelul Galati from getting behind. Lyle Coppack took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Horia Ivașcu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nechifor Păunescu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Carlos Mei's shot from short distance in the 58th minute. Carlos Mei in the 70thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Nechifor Păunescu, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Carlos Mei sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Erdélyi SE Marosvásárhely's Mihăiţă Stolniceanu was substituted for Adrián-Daniel Dobre. Denis Dorlea made in the 76th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which 龙冰文 however managed to control. Cezar Cucu might have been able to make a better finish in the 81st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Lyle Coppack. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cezar Cucu ran back to his position shaking his head. Fotbal Club Otelul Galati made a substitution. Iustin Anghelescu replaced Gelu Alexandrescu. Fotbal Club Otelul Galati's Nechifor Păunescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mihăiţă Stolniceanu in the 89th minute of play. 89 minutes into the game, Mihăiţă Stolniceanu recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Nechifor Păunescu. Mihăiţă Stolniceanu showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-2. Erdélyi SE Marosvásárhely's Lyle Coppack played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Iustin Anghelescu in the 95th minute of play. The Erdélyi SE Marosvásárhely players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
