Seating: 2122, VIP seats: 183) Leo Weterio made the kick off and thus started the match. Vlad Ghionaru's late challenge caught a Bucura's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Vlad Ghionaru helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to UM Timisoara getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Vlad Ghionaru hit a great ball. Juan Gaitan made a fantastic save in the 4th minute, when George Lewandowski sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, Bucura's Ionică Sinulescu got a free kick in the 8th minute. Ionică Sinulescu lost his temper 10 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. After 9 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Bucura! 15 minutes into the match, UM Timisoara's goal looked a bit too open when Yu Yang Chao came free, but Juan Gaitan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paul Ghimpu in the 17th minute of play forced Bucura's goalkeeper Nechifor Zeciu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Juan Gaitan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stasio Lichniak, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. In the 22nd minute Alex Bungescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nechifor Zeciu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nechifor Zeciu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leo Weterio, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. After 26 minutes Bucura's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Yuri Mourato who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Yuri Mourato got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Nechifor Zeciu quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Corneliu Cănănău kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. Paul Mirea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nechifor Zeciu having to interfere. Erasmo Neiva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Juan Gaitan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paul Ghimpu in the 36th minute of play forced Bucura's goalkeeper Nechifor Zeciu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. UM Timisoara's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Yuri Mourato in the 38th minute. UM Timisoara's Alex Bungescu was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Nechifor Zeciu in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Nechifor Zeciu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paul Mirea in the 40th minute of play. A collision led to UM Timisoara getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Vlad Ghionaru hit a great ball. Corneliu Cănănău's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Juan Gaitan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 44th minute of play. Stasio Lichniak recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
In the 51st minute, Erasmo Neiva ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Juan Gaitan was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. 54 minutes into the match, Bucura's goalkeeper Nechifor Zeciu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Leo Weterio. Nechifor Zeciu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paul Ghimpu in the 57th minute of the match. 58 minutes into the game, Costin Loghin threw the ball into play from the sideline. UM Timisoara's Vlad Ghionaru quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. 60 minutes into the match, Bucura's goal looked a bit too open when Paul Ghimpu came free, but Nechifor Zeciu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match was over UM Timisoara could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Bucura throughout the match.
