Spectators: 8600 (Terracing: 6450, Seating: 1978, VIP seats: 172) UM Timisoara's Leo Weterio started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Juan Gaitan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jaspar De Weijgaert in the 3rd minute of play. Iurie Ilie scored 0-1 in the 4th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Juan Gaitan, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Thanks to some nice moves Alex Bungescu could shoot a difficult shot in the 8th minute, which Robert Tarcu however easily saved by the left post. Robert Tarcu was a little too slow when Leo Weterio got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 12th minute. The score was now 1-1. Juan Gaitan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jaspar De Weijgaert in the 18th minute of play. UM Timisoara's Juan Gaitan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Iurie Ilie in the 20th minute of play. After 21 minutes UM Timisoara's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Iurie Ilie who took care of the corner kick. 25 minutes into the match, THE CRYSTAL SHIP's goal looked a bit too open when Paul Ghimpu came free, but Robert Tarcu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 28th minute Jaspar De Weijgaert shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juan Gaitan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Robert Tarcu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leo Weterio in the 29th minute of the match. Juan Gaitan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jaspar De Weijgaert in the 40th minute of play. A collision led to UM Timisoara getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Mădălin Busuioc hit a great ball. Juan Gaitan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jaspar De Weijgaert, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jaspar De Weijgaert to make the kick off. Juan Gaitan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jaspar De Weijgaert in the 50th minute of the match. In the 52nd minute of the match, Jaspar De Weijgaert tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Juan Gaitan saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Jaspar De Weijgaert might have been able to make a better finish in the 53rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Juan Gaitan. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jaspar De Weijgaert ran back to his position shaking his head. 53 minutes into the match, UM Timisoara's goal looked a bit too open when Jaspar De Weijgaert came free, but Juan Gaitan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jaspar De Weijgaert sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Juan Gaitan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jaspar De Weijgaert in the 55th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jaspar De Weijgaert in the 56th minute of play forced UM Timisoara's goalkeeper Juan Gaitan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Jaspar De Weijgaert had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Leo Weterio ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Paul Ghimpu got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Robert Tarcu quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 78 minutes into the match, UM Timisoara's goal looked a bit too open when Jaspar De Weijgaert came free, but Juan Gaitan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jaspar De Weijgaert struck a weak shot in the 79th minute. Juan Gaitan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for THE CRYSTAL SHIP. Jaspar De Weijgaert could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 85th minute of the match, but Juan Gaitan made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jaspar De Weijgaert in the 88th minute of play forced UM Timisoara's goalkeeper Juan Gaitan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to UM Timisoara getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Leo Weterio hit a great ball. Mădălin Busuioc kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. Although UM Timisoara had been in control for most of the match, THE CRYSTAL SHIP still came away with the win.
