In the 15th minute Petre Iftode shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sandu Vlaicu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ivan Chiuzbaian made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Aurel Beldeanu sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM- booed when FC Urzicuța was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Senne Rondou didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Zhao Sen Yang in the 25th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sandu Vlaicu saved FC Urzicuța from getting behind. After 25 minutes, Zhao Sen Yang made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. FC Urzicuța's Sandu Vlaicu tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 36th minute, Zhao Sen Yang left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM- fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. When Zhao Sen Yang came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM- fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Zhao Sen Yang couldn't finish the play. İrfan Attar did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-2 to the left of a surprised Ivan Chiuzbaian 44 minutes into the match. İrfan Attar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Ivan Chiuzbaian tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

Ivan Chiuzbaian made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aurel Beldeanu in the 55th minute of play. Sandu Vlaicu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Zhao Sen Yang in the 60th minute. Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s Ivan Chiuzbaian played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aurel Beldeanu in the 62nd minute of play. Ivan Chiuzbaian came out of the goal in the 63rd minute to try and stop a shot by FC Urzicuța's İrfan Attar. But to his dismay, İrfan Attar quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM- made a substitution. Mugurel Pandele replaced İlhami Akyazıcı. In the 88th minute Sorin Bârlă shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ivan Chiuzbaian saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
