Petrea Comerzan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gicu Buturugã, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Maxim Cotorobai had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 18 minutes into the game, University of Pennsylvan's Marcel Ilie nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Pavel Conac made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. 23 minutes into the match, Copceac's goal looked a bit too open when Marcel Ilie came free, but Pavel Conac reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Nichifor Bumbu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Marcel Ilie in the 27th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Pavel Conac prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Marcel Ilie had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Petru Casu kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. Nichifor Bumbu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Pavel Conac tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Copceac getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Dorel Scobioalã hit a great ball. After 37 minutes of play, University of Pennsylvan's Marcel Ilie made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Pavel Conac was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Nichifor Bumbu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Nichifor Bumbu to strike the kick off in the second half. Nichifor Bumbu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Nichifor Bumbu kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Pavel Conac. That made the score 0-3 in the 57 minute of play. Pavel Conac showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nichifor Bumbu in the 69th minute of the match. A collision led to Copceac getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Nicolae Tâbuleac hit a great ball. 76 minutes into the match, Nichifor Bumbu dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Pavel Conac, 0-4. Petrea Comerzan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sandu Delinschi, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. After 87th play minutes Maxim Cotorobai shot 1-4, a short shot which went by Petrea Comerzan and just under the crossbar into goal. When Sandu Delinschi fell near the penalty area in the 90th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Copceac's protests and gave Sandu Delinschi a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Copceac's Sandu Delinschi got a free kick in the 91st minute. Marcel Ilie sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nichifor Bumbu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Pavel Conac tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match was over University of Pennsylvan could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Copceac throughout the match.
