The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of Fãleşti booed when EagleFree was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Daniel Timofte didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sandu Epureanu kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 6thth minute. Though ot was a great shot EagleFree's keeper Nichifor Vasilitã was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. Nichifor Vasilitã made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sandu Epureanu in the 7th minute. In the 11th minute, one of EagleFree:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for EagleFree. Sandu Epureanu's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 13thth minute, Nichifor Vasilitã skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 18 minutes into the match, EagleFree's goal looked a bit too open when George Bâtcã came free, but Nichifor Vasilitã reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 19th match minute, EagleFree was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mircea Botnaru to maneuver through the defense. Vasile Prepelitã kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. 33 minutes into the game, George Bâtcã cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Nichifor Vasilitã was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. George Bâtcã fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nichifor Vasilitã having to interfere. When Sandu Epureanu came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Fãleşti fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sandu Epureanu couldn't finish the play. Nichifor Vasilitã took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tudor Buruianã, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Daniel Bumbac made a kick off. When Boris Lazãr fell near the penalty area in the 52nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Fãleşti's protests and gave Boris Lazãr a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Fãleşti getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Boris Lazãr hit a great ball. In the 53rd minute of the match Gicu Speianu shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ion Barbãneagrã showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sandu Epureanu in the 62nd minute of play forced EagleFree's goalkeeper Nichifor Vasilitã to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Tudor Buruianã fell near the penalty area in the 71st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Fãleşti's protests and gave Tudor Buruianã a yellow card for diving instead. Tudor Buruianã hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. If Sandu Epureanu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Fãleşti's Sandu Epureanu in the 82nd minute got a chance for a shot 82nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye EagleFree's goalie prevented a goal. Fãleşti's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
