Rezina's Florin Curcã played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emilian Madan in the 4th minute of play. Emilian Madan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Florin Curcã tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ovidiu Castravet made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valera Balaur in the 11th minute of play. Octavian Iovu struck a weak shot in the 17th minute. Ovidiu Castravet didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rezina. Valera Balaur sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcel Filip in the 27th minute of play forced Paris Saint Germain's goalkeeper Ovidiu Castravet to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 28 minutes into the match Ghitã Ciubuc climbed in front of goal and pressed up 1-0 in the right cross behind a totally surprised Florin Curcã. In the 31st minute, Filip Doroftei hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Octavian Iovu came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the Rezina fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Octavian Iovu couldn't finish the play. In the 39th minute Ion Braga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ovidiu Castravet saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 41st minute, Vladimir Toderascu fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Florin Curcã, passed just outside the right post. If Emilian Madan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Valera Balaur in the 47th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ovidiu Castravet prevented the ball from getting in the gole. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Valera Balaur might have been able to make a better finish in the 56th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ovidiu Castravet. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Valera Balaur ran back to his position shaking his head. A collision led to Paris Saint Germain getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Filip Doroftei hit a great ball. When Cãlin Luncasu fell near the penalty area in the 68th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rezina's protests and gave Cãlin Luncasu a yellow card for diving instead. Cãlin Luncasu kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. Cãlin Untilã was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 69th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. In the 72nd minute, Ghitã Ciubuc got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, Marcel Filip managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rezina's supporters rose to their feet, but Marcel Filip was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ovidiu Castravet breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ghitã Ciubuc sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 81 minutes into the game, Ion Braga was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Rezina's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Paris Saint Germain the free kick. Valera Balaur came free with the goalkeeper in the 84th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Ovidiu Castravet could save by the left post. In the 86th minute of the match Rezina got a corner. Paris Saint Germain's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Cãlin Luncasu ran over to the corner to take the kick. Rezina's Cãlin Luncasu was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Ovidiu Castravet in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 87th minute, Ion Braga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rezina's Florin Curcã played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ghitã Ciubuc in the 89th minute of play. If Ghitã Ciubuc had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Florin Curcã took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ghitã Ciubuc, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 94 minutes into the match, Paris Saint Germain's goalkeeper Ovidiu Castravet had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Valera Balaur. Rezina's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
