Florin Curcã had great luck who in the 4thth minute grab hold of the ball when Victor Cobzar from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. 9 minutes into the match, Rezina's goalkeeper Florin Curcã had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ciprian Vârtosu. Boris Speianu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Valera Balaur's shot from short distance in the 15th minute. FC Colibri's Boris Speianu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valera Balaur in the 18th minute of play. In the 19th minute, Octavian Iovu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 21 minutes, Octavian Iovu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rezina's supporters crossed their fingers, but Octavian Iovu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Valera Balaur blasted a shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Boris Speianu having to make a save. Marcel Filip fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Boris Speianu having to interfere. Octavian Iovu took the ball and in the 29 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Boris Speianu. Boris Speianu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Octavian Iovu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 31 minutes into the game, Valera Balaur cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Boris Speianu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 34th match minute, Rezina was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcel Filip to maneuver through the defense. Boris Speianu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Octavian Iovu in the 40th minute of play. Ciprian Vârtosu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Florin Curcã tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by George Creangã during the 48th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 48th minute, George Creangã hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Octavian Iovu made a kick off. Boris Speianu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Valera Balaur in the 56th minute. Florin Curcã made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ciprian Vârtosu in the 59th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Valera Balaur got free with Boris Speianu in the 63rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Octavian Iovu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Valera Balaur might have been able to make a better finish in the 73rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Boris Speianu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Valera Balaur ran back to his position shaking his head. Valera Balaur recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. George Creangã was shown his second yellow card after 83 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After a rather tough play, FC Colibri's George Creangã got a free kick in the 84th minute. If Ciprian Vârtosu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Ciprian Vârtosu managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Colibri's supporters rose to their feet, but Ciprian Vârtosu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Florin Curcã breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Rezina eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
