Ion Burduja took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Octavian Iovu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 19 minutes, Radu Toma managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Codreni's supporters crossed their fingers, but Radu Toma was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Radu Toma had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Codreni's zone, Marcel Filip stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ion Burduja came out of the goal and Marcel Filip tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 29th match minute, Codreni was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emil Luncasu to maneuver through the defense. Ion Braga could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 30th minute of the match, but Ion Burduja made a huge save. Ion Burduja showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Octavian Iovu, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Ion Burduja made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Octavian Iovu in the 34th minute of play. The supporters of Codreni booed when Rezina was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Octavian Iovu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rezina's Octavian Iovu got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 45 minutes into the match, Codreni's goalkeeper Ion Burduja had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Valera Balaur.

The wind increased when Octavian Iovu made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd match minute, Rezina was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcel Filip to maneuver through the defense. When Marcel Filip fell near the penalty area in the 55th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rezina's protests and gave Marcel Filip a yellow card for diving instead. In the 55th minute, Marcel Filip hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 58 played minutes Codreni got a freekick which was hit by Ruslan Vacarciuc. After 59 played minutes Cãlin Luncasu shot from long distance. At first the shot seemed to be simple for Codreni's Ion Burduja to catch but Cãlin Luncasu was lucky. It became 1-1 after the goalkeeper had been careless and dropped the ball into goal. Florin Curcã made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Radu Toma in the 64th minute of play. Radu Toma received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Florin Curcã tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Florin Curcã showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Radu Toma, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. Octavian Iovu hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. Codreni's Eduard Buga got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Rezina's Marcel Filip got a free kick in the 85th minute. In the 93rd minute Radu Toma shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Florin Curcã saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Valera Balaur received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Ion Burduja tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rezina succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Codreni had controlled the match.
