The referee showed Dorin Cepoi the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to FC Rapid Bucuresti getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Dorin Cepoi hit a great ball. Anton Cãpraru showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Grigore Vrânceanu, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. Virgiliu Ureche's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Anton Cãpraru read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 17th minute of play. A collision led to Dacia getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Cristian Cãldare hit a great ball. In the 24th minute, Simion Luncasu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Dacia fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. With a little luck, Dacia's Bruno Astigar got control of the ball when Viorel Tabãrã tried to sneak it across the goal line. Anton Cãpraru made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sergiu Dobândã in the 31st minute of play. In the 34th minute, Andrei Brãgutã ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Anton Cãpraru was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. Ion Stegaru charged in rather forcefully in the 37th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Anton Cãpraru showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Grigore Vrânceanu in the 43rd minute of the match. 45 minutes into the match, Dacia's goalkeeper Bruno Astigar had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Viorel Tabãrã. When Leonid Micineanu fell near the penalty area in the 46th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Dacia's protests and gave Leonid Micineanu a yellow card for diving instead. After 46 played minutes Dacia got a freekick which was hit by Leonid Micineanu. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-4.

The wind increased when Nichifor Vornic made the kick off in the second half. In the 50th minute, Dorin Cepoi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The long shot by Ion Stegaru in the 51st minute really tested Anton Cãpraru's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Anton Cãpraru showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Andrei Brãgutã in the 56th minute of the match. Anton Cãpraru made a fantastic save in the 71st minute, when Sergiu Dobândã sent off a good shot on target. 76 minutes into the game, Viorel Tabãrã cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-5. Bruno Astigar was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Viorel Tabãrã came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the FC Rapid Bucuresti fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Viorel Tabãrã couldn't finish the play. Anton Cãpraru made an important save on a dangerous shot by Grigore Vrânceanu in the 83rd minute. When Viorel Tabãrã came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the FC Rapid Bucuresti fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Viorel Tabãrã couldn't finish the play. Viorel Tabãrã sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bruno Astigar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Viorel Tabãrã in the 96th minute of the match. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Dacia eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
