The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 6 minutes into the game, Cornel Medelean recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Iulian Iordan. Cornel Medelean showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Neculaieni's Iulian Iordan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 9th minute of the match, managed to save Neculaieni from getting a goal against them. In the 10th minute, Charlotte Hornets Sport's Cornel Medelean ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Iulian Iordan. Iulian Iordan yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. 13 minutes into the match, Neculaieni's goalkeeper Iulian Iordan had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sandu Musteatã. Iulian Iordan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cornel Medelean in the 20th minute of play. In the 23rd match minute, Neculaieni was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bogdan Izmanã to maneuver through the defense. After 25 minutes, Cornel Medelean made it 3-0 with a short kick to the right side. Neculaieni's Iulian Iordan tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After 33 played minutes Neculaieni got a freekick which was hit by Anton Isac. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dumitru Musteatã got free with Iulian Iordan in the 35th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Eduard Vartic in the 37th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Eusebio Jurdan saved Charlotte Hornets Sport from getting behind. 38 minutes into the match, Charlotte Hornets Sport's goal looked a bit too open when Eduard Vartic came free, but Eusebio Jurdan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dumitru Musteatã received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Iulian Iordan came out and tried to block the shot, but Dumitru Musteatã slotted it home off the left post making it 4-0 in the 41st minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Sandu Musteatã to strike the kick off in the second half. Fellipe Souto kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. If Lilian Apostol had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cornel Medelean sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Iulian Iordan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cornel Medelean, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dumitru Musteatã recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 64th match minute, Neculaieni was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lilian Apostol to maneuver through the defense. Neculaieni's Iulian Iordan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dumitru Musteatã in the 72nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sandu Musteatã in the 78th minute of play forced Neculaieni's goalkeeper Iulian Iordan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Iulian Iordan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dumitru Musteatã in the 85th minute of the match.
