Vladimir Tâbuleac hit a great ball. 8 minutes into the match, FC Salcuta's goal looked a bit too open when Sandu Ciocan came free, but Liviu Medelean reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Sandu Ciocan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Adrian Macovei fell near the penalty area in the 12th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Salcuta's protests and gave Adrian Macovei a yellow card for diving instead. Sandu Ciocan's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 13thth minute, Liviu Medelean skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After a rather tough play, FC Salcuta's Adrian Macovei got a free kick in the 16th minute. 18 minutes into the match, Dan Carp notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Santos FC Moldova's Ciprian Pricop. Ciprian Pricop was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Liviu Medelean made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sandu Ciocan in the 21st minute of play. Liviu Medelean showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sandu Ciocan in the 23rd minute of the match. In the 25th minute, Adrian Macovei hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sandu Ciocan in the 29th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Liviu Medelean prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sandu Ciocan in the 30th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Liviu Medelean saved FC Salcuta from getting behind. When Santos FC Moldova's Sandu Ciocan in the 31st minute got a chance for a shot 31st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye FC Salcuta's goalie prevented a goal. A hard shot 33 in the game by Sandu Ciocan from a close distance when the talented Liviu Medelean managed to make a qualified save. FC Salcuta's players were relieved. After a rather tough play, Santos FC Moldova's Sandu Ciocan got a free kick in the 38th minute. 40 minutes into the match, FC Salcuta's goal looked a bit too open when Sandu Ciocan came free, but Liviu Medelean reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Through an outstanding action, after 42 minutes, Liviu Medelean successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Sandu Ciocan to strike the kick off in the second half. Sandu Ciocan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Liviu Medelean having to interfere. Liviu Medelean showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sandu Ciocan, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. In the 55th minute, Vladimir Tâbuleac hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. FC Salcuta's Nicolae Bâtcã got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. FC Salcuta's Liviu Medelean played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sandu Ciocan in the 58th minute of play. 59 minutes into the match, FC Salcuta's goal looked a bit too open when Sandu Ciocan came free, but Liviu Medelean reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Sandu Ciocan's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Liviu Medelean was relentless in the 67th minute of the game. FC Salcuta's Liviu Medelean played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sandu Ciocan in the 70th minute of play. Sandu Ciocan struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. Liviu Medelean didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Santos FC Moldova. Adrian Macovei hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. When Sandu Ciocan came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the Santos FC Moldova fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sandu Ciocan couldn't finish the play. Ciprian Pricop was out of position in the 83 minute of play, and Dan Carp capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Dan Carp really showed his touch with that goal: 3-2. After having played for 87 minutes, Sandu Ciocan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Santos FC Moldova's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sandu Ciocan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sandu Ciocan in the 88th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Liviu Medelean saved FC Salcuta from getting behind. Radu Postolache fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Liviu Medelean having to interfere. 92 minutes into the game, Santos FC Moldova's Sandu Ciocan nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Liviu Medelean made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-2. 95 minutes into the match, FC Salcuta's goal looked a bit too open when Sandu Ciocan came free, but Liviu Medelean reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. There was no doubt that Santos FC Moldova were the better team. Santos FC Moldova's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
