The coaching staff of Cimislia protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Leonid Iorga had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 13th minute of the game. One of Cimislia:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Donduseni CSF:s goal. In the 15th minute there was a penalty for Donduseni CSF. Vitalie Cepoi stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Mihail Doga. 1-1. Iosif Cucu was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Eugen Speianu. Mihail Doga took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anatolie Enicov, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vitalie Cepoi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Mihail Doga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 28th minute Vitalie Cepoi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mihail Doga saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eugen Speianu charged in rather forcefully in the 29th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Eugen Speianu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Cimislia getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Mihail Doga showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Teodor Arnãut could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 31st minute of the match, but Iosif Cucu made a huge save. Mihail Doga stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Leonid Vântu's shot from short distance in the 33rd minute. Mihail Doga didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Leonid Vântu went, in the 36th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. After a defensive mix-up in Cimislia's zone, Vitalie Cepoi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mihail Doga came out of the goal and Vitalie Cepoi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mihail Doga showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leonid Vântu, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. Disappointed in the 1-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Teodor Arnãut made a kick off. Vitalie Cepoi received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Mihail Doga came out and tried to block the shot, but Vitalie Cepoi slotted it home off the left post making it 1-5 in the 51st minute. Mihail Doga made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vitalie Cepoi in the 57th minute of play. With a little luck, Cimislia's Mihail Doga got control of the ball when Leonid Vântu tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Ruslan Buruianã managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cimislia's supporters rose to their feet, but Ruslan Buruianã was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Iosif Cucu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Leonid Vântu got free with Mihail Doga in the 65th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Leonid Vântu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 66th minute of the match, but Mihail Doga made a huge save.
