Anibal Aritza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bogdan Cazacu in the 29th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dorel Cretu in the 32nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Monte Quintarnaya prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 33 minutes into the match, Liverpool FC's goal looked a bit too open when Dorel Cretu came free, but Monte Quintarnaya reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Monte Quintarnaya came out of the goal in the 34th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Truseni's Teodor Cornea. But to his dismay, Teodor Cornea quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Monte Quintarnaya made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Teodor Cornea in the 37th minute of play. The supporters of Liverpool FC booed when FC Truseni was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dorel Cretu didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Dorel Cretu managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Truseni's supporters rose to their feet, but Dorel Cretu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Monte Quintarnaya breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Marius Vataman stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Leonid Nazaria ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Monte Quintarnaya was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. In the 59th minute, Dorel Cretu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. FC Truseni were awarded a corner in the 63th minute after Liverpool FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Radu Briceag took the corner. The corner led FC Truseni's Radu Briceag to fire away a dangerous shot which Monte Quintarnaya despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 87th minute of the match, Leonid Nazaria got a very nice opportunity to score, but Monte Quintarnaya was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. 87 minutes into the game, Robert Babicki was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Liverpool FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Truseni the free kick. George Pãduret took the ball and in the 89 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Monte Quintarnaya. Monte Quintarnaya dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-6. The FC Truseni supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing FC Truseni would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
