Spectators: 6835 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1835, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Kazimirs Spandegs started the match with the kick off. After having played for 7 minutes, Bērtulis Tāmulis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vecozoli's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bērtulis Tāmulis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 13th minute, Kazimirs Spandegs made a precise shot to the right of Jūlijs Lovnieks. FK Petraici's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. 17 minutes into the match, Vecozoli's goal looked a bit too open when Arvīds Miksis came free, but Kristaps Polārists reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Arvīds Miksis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Arvīds Miksis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jūlijs Lovnieks stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Kazimirs Spandegs's shot from short distance in the 25th minute. 27 minutes into the match, Vecozoli's goal looked a bit too open when Arvīds Miksis came free, but Kristaps Polārists reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Bērtulis Tāmulis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kazimirs Spandegs in the 34th minute of play forced FK Petraici's goalkeeper Jūlijs Lovnieks to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bērtulis Tāmulis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 37 minutes into the match, FK Petraici's goal looked a bit too open when Bērtulis Tāmulis came free, but Jūlijs Lovnieks reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Arvīds Uzvans fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kristaps Polārists having to interfere. Kristaps Polārists made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arvīds Miksis in the 47th minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The supporters of FK Petraici booed when Vecozoli was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kazimirs Spandegs didn't get a good kick on the ball. Arvīds Uzvans sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Arvīds Uzvans had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kristaps Polārists came out of the goal in the 68th minute to try and stop a shot by FK Petraici's Arvīds Miksis. But to his dismay, Arvīds Miksis quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ēriks Enkurnieks during the 72nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 72 played minutes Vecozoli got a freekick which was hit by Ēriks Enkurnieks. Arvīds Uzvans's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Kristaps Polārists read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 73rd minute of play. If Bērtulis Tāmulis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Kazimirs Spandegs, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 89 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Jūlijs Lovnieks was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Vecozoli's zone, Arvīds Uzvans stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kristaps Polārists came out of the goal and Arvīds Uzvans tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
