In the 5th match minute, Vecbirzaki was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edgars Bačinskis to maneuver through the defense. Vecbirzaki's Gaits Klāģis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ainārs Priciņš in the 6th minute of play. Marģers Balateckis's late challenge caught a FC RedTube's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Marģers Balateckis helped the player get up and apologised. Marģers Balateckis hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. After 10 minutes, Laimnesis Plavinskis mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Vecbirzaki and the FC RedTube players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 10th match minute, Vecbirzaki was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Laimnesis Plavinskis to maneuver through the defense. Digmārs Lielkalns fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Verners Zelcāns having to interfere. Gaits Klāģis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ainārs Priciņš in the 18th minute of play. Raimonds Bertrups fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Verners Zelcāns having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Digmārs Lielkalns in the 22nd minute of play forced FC RedTube's goalkeeper Verners Zelcāns to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Verners Zelcāns showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Digmārs Lielkalns, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Haralds Nagernaks's late challenge caught a Vecbirzaki's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Haralds Nagernaks helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Vecbirzaki booed when FC RedTube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Haralds Nagernaks didn't get a good kick on the ball. Digmārs Lielkalns fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Verners Zelcāns having to interfere. Verners Zelcāns came out of the goal in the 30th minute to try and stop a shot by Vecbirzaki's Raimonds Bertrups. But to his dismay, Raimonds Bertrups quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Verners Zelcāns took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Digmārs Lielkalns, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Digmārs Lielkalns struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Verners Zelcāns didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vecbirzaki. After a rather tough play, FC RedTube's Raimonds Denks got a free kick in the 47th minute. Georgs Montvids was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 48th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Raimonds Bertrups was the one to do the kick off. Digmārs Lielkalns came free with the goalkeeper in the 52nd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Verners Zelcāns could save by the left post. In the 59th minute, Rolands Brīvkalns hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 62 played minutes Vecbirzaki got a freekick which was hit by Laimnesis Plavinskis. Roberts Šipkēvičs sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Raimonds Bertrups charged in rather forcefully in the 74th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Raimonds Bertrups the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Digmārs Lielkalns could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 76th minute of the match, but Verners Zelcāns made a huge save. Raimonds Bertrups fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Verners Zelcāns having to interfere. 82 minutes into the match, FC RedTube's goalkeeper Verners Zelcāns had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Digmārs Lielkalns. A hard shot 91 in the game by Digmārs Lielkalns from a close distance when the talented Verners Zelcāns managed to make a qualified save. FC RedTube's players were relieved. If Digmārs Lielkalns had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a rather tough play, Vecbirzaki's Raimonds Bertrups got a free kick in the 93rd minute. Vecbirzaki were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
