The referee ignored FC RedTube's protests and gave Rolands Brīvkalns a yellow card for diving instead. With his leg Verners Zelcāns managed to avoid a goal in the 36thth minute, when FHS Gramzda's Gundars Vēbers fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After having played for 41 minutes, Raitis Peterhofs managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC RedTube's supporters crossed their fingers, but Raitis Peterhofs was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Kristaps Namnieks to make the kick off. Verners Zelcāns showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gundars Vēbers in the 54th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Raimonds Denks during the 54th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 55 played minutes FC RedTube got a freekick which was hit by Raimonds Denks. Ainārs Priciņš fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Verners Bārtulis having to interfere. FHS Gramzda's Verners Bārtulis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ainārs Priciņš in the 62nd minute of play. Roberts Šipkēvičs could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 63rd minute of the match, but Verners Bārtulis made a huge save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gundars Vēbers in the 66th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Verners Zelcāns saved FC RedTube from getting behind. Verners Zelcāns showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gundars Vēbers in the 69th minute of the match. FC RedTube's Verners Zelcāns played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gundars Vēbers in the 70th minute of play. Gundars Vēbers fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Verners Zelcāns having to interfere. Verners Zelcāns showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kristaps Namnieks, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. Roberts Šipkēvičs fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Verners Bārtulis having to interfere. Gundars Vēbers received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Verners Zelcāns tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 92nd minute, Ainārs Priciņš ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Verners Bārtulis was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. After 96 played minutes FC RedTube got a freekick which was hit by Raimonds Denks. Gundars Vēbers's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Verners Zelcāns read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 98th minute of play. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
