Spectators: 7990 (Terracing: 5994, Seating: 1837, VIP seats: 159) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Egīls Panks kicked off to start the match. In the 2nd match minute, FC RTU was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kazimirs Bebers to maneuver through the defense. If Maigurs Purickis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The supporters of FC RTU booed when Versishi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sebastijans Laidiņš didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 12th minute, Egīls Panks fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Maigurs Purickis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 15th minute of the match Viestards Bukevics sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gaidis Millerkrancs skillfully saved the ball. Kristiāns Janmanis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Einārs Boltāns, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Kristiāns Janmanis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Einārs Boltāns in the 25th minute of play. After 26 played minutes Versishi got a freekick which was hit by Elmārs Kamenis. After a defensive mix-up in Versishi's zone, Einārs Boltāns stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kristiāns Janmanis came out of the goal and Einārs Boltāns tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 30th minute the ball was on its way in behind Versishi's goalkeeper Kristiāns Janmanis, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Versishi's zone, Einārs Boltāns stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kristiāns Janmanis came out of the goal and Einārs Boltāns tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Einārs Boltāns received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Kristiāns Janmanis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Maigurs Purickis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gaidis Millerkrancs having to interfere. In the 45th match minute, Versishi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Egīls Panks to maneuver through the defense. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Andris Dzelzkalējs stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Igors Mikulīts kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. Andris Dzelzkalējs fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kristiāns Janmanis having to interfere. Einārs Boltāns sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kristiāns Janmanis made a fantastic save in the 73rd minute, when Einārs Boltāns sent off a good shot on target. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Valts Pahars during the 73rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Valts Pahars hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. Einārs Boltāns fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kristiāns Janmanis having to interfere. 84 minutes into the match, FC RTU's goal looked a bit too open when Maigurs Purickis came free, but Gaidis Millerkrancs reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kristiāns Janmanis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andris Dzelzkalējs, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Staņislavs Olševskis during the 90th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 90 played minutes Versishi got a freekick which was hit by Staņislavs Olševskis. Igors Mikulīts fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kristiāns Janmanis having to interfere. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
