After some careless play in the FC Kurm defense, Kristofers Judziks kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alvis Bigužs. The FC Kurm fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alvis Bigužs should have stopped the shot. When Valdis Līkums came up free with the goalie in the 7th minute, the Valda fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Valdis Līkums couldn't finish the play. Kristofers Judziks sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Kristofers Judziks had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Kristofers Judziks could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 12th minute of the match, but Alvis Bigužs made a huge save. After having played for 14 minutes, Valdis Līkums managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Valda's supporters crossed their fingers, but Valdis Līkums was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Valdis Līkums fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alvis Bigužs having to interfere. Ārvalds Stekels charged in rather forcefully in the 22nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ārvalds Stekels the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Valda booed when FC Kurm was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ārvalds Stekels didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alvis Bigužs showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Valdis Līkums in the 25th minute of the match. Ārvalds Stekels took the ball and in the 37 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Artis Modernieks. Artis Modernieks dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. FC Kurm's Alvis Bigužs played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valdis Līkums in the 41st minute of play. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.
The wind increased when Valdis Līkums made the kick off in the second half. Kristofers Judziks received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Alvis Bigužs tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alvis Bigužs took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Valdis Līkums, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alvis Bigužs showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Valdis Līkums, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. Visvaldis Seflers received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Artis Modernieks tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Visvaldis Seflers fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Artis Modernieks having to interfere. Artis Modernieks showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Visvaldis Seflers in the 90th minute of the match. Ārvalds Stekels sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
