Zandis Krafts might have been able to make a better finish in the 3rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Egons Butkovskis. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Egons Butkovskis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC AVK. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Haralds Kerčs in the 13th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Valfrīds Vagars saved FC AVK from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Mintauts Vaļums managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC AVK's supporters rose to their feet, but Mintauts Vaļums was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Egons Butkovskis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Agris Vanagacs recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. FK Tornado's Egons Butkovskis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mintauts Vaļums in the 28th minute of play. Zandis Krafts received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Egons Butkovskis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Haralds Kerčs fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valfrīds Vagars having to interfere. In the 42nd minute Zandis Krafts shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Egons Butkovskis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Valfrīds Vagars made an important save on a dangerous shot by Oskars Bertrups in the 43rd minute. 44 minutes into the game, Gaits Kikeris was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC AVK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FK Tornado the free kick. Gaits Kikeris kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Haralds Kerčs to make the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Zandis Krafts got free with Egons Butkovskis in the 57th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 57th minute, FC AVK's Zandis Krafts dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-2. FC AVK's Valfrīds Vagars played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Haralds Kerčs in the 90th minute of play.
