Spectators: 8026 (Terracing: 6066, Seating: 1860, VIP seats: 100) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Valdis Līkums got the match started through his kick off. After a rather tough play, FK Tornado's Valdis Nesvīds got a free kick in the 5th minute. In the 8th minute of the match Valda got a corner. FK Tornado's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Emanuels Kārkliņš ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Valda's Emanuels Kārkliņš to fire away a dangerous shot which Egons Butkovskis despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Haralds Kerčs was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 13th minute. FK Tornado's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Kristofers Judziks sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 23rd minute, Kristofers Judziks made a precise shot to the right of Egons Butkovskis. FK Tornado's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. In the 27th minute, Valdis Nesvīds got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 28 played minutes Valda got a freekick which was hit by Stefans Krisāns. The audience thought a goal was coming when Oskars Bertrups got free with Artis Modernieks in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. FK Tornado's Haralds Kerčs got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Oskars Bertrups sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Haralds Kerčs was the one to do the kick off. Egons Butkovskis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valdis Līkums in the 52nd minute of play. 55 minutes into the game, Eduards Ķauķis was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FK Tornado's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Valda the free kick. A collision led to FK Tornado getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Eduards Ķauķis hit a great ball. If Valdis Līkums had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Valdis Nesvīds charged in rather forcefully in the 68th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Valdis Nesvīds the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, FK Tornado's Valdis Nesvīds got a free kick in the 68th minute. Valda's Emanuels Kārkliņš couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 69th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for FK Tornado. After 73 minutes of play, FK Tornado's Haralds Kerčs made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Artis Modernieks was left in no man's land by his defense there! With 81 minutes on the clock, Ilgonis Baldiņš commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. After 80 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Valda! In the 83rd minute there was a penalty for FK Tornado. Roberts Celmlauzis stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Artis Modernieks. 3-1. Nikolajs Dzirkalis kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. A hard shot by Emanuels Kārkliņš from long distance, 97 minutes into the match, got Egons Butkovskis's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The FK Tornado fans cheered their team off the field, for while Valda had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
