In the 19th match minute, PFK Smiltnieki was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zandis Zingers to maneuver through the defense. Ārvalds Stekels struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Edvīns Rags received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Alvis Bigužs tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ārvalds Stekels sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alvis Bigužs didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Georgs Vārpulis went, in the 37th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Dāgs Kairāns charged in rather forcefully in the 43rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dāgs Kairāns the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The wind increased when Georgs Vārpulis made the kick off in the second half. After having played for 55 minutes, Visvaldis Seflers managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Kurm's supporters crossed their fingers, but Visvaldis Seflers was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 58th minute, Georgs Vārpulis ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Alvis Bigužs was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. 65 minutes into the match, Visvaldis Seflers notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of PFK Smiltnieki's Valdis Rulevics. Valdis Rulevics was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 73rd minute, Umberts Pulcs hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Valdis Rulevics took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ārvalds Stekels, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ārvalds Stekels sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Valdis Rulevics didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when FC Kurm's Visvaldis Seflers shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 2-3 in the ordered_time% minute. In the 91st minute Askolds Cvimmers shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alvis Bigužs saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Georgs Vārpulis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alvis Bigužs having to interfere. Askolds Cvimmers recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Umberts Pulcs hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. The PFK Smiltnieki players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
