Egons Butkovskis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Guntars Čiriks in the 11th minute of play. Oskars Bertrups recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience was convinced that Haralds Kerčs's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Intars Baltābols was relentless in the 23rd minute of the game. The FK Tornado fans' excitement grew in the 23rd match minute when FK Tornado's Haralds Kerčs looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Haralds Kerčs stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Pruli's Intars Baltābols proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 52nd minute of the match, managed to save Pruli from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Pruli booed when FK Tornado was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roberts Celmlauzis didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the FK Tornado defense, Ģirts Abulnieks kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Egons Butkovskis. The FK Tornado fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Egons Butkovskis should have stopped the shot. If Guntars Čiriks had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Valdis Nesvīds charged in rather forcefully in the 68th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Raimonds Indriķis-Redzīgais fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Egons Butkovskis having to interfere.
