Askolds Cvimmers ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 28th match minute, Valda was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dailis Ekšteins to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Valda's zone, Georgs Vārpulis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Artis Modernieks came out of the goal and Georgs Vārpulis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dailis Ekšteins kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. Artis Modernieks came out of the goal in the 33rd minute to try and stop a shot by PFK Smiltnieki's Georgs Vārpulis. But to his dismay, Georgs Vārpulis quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Valda's defense didn't have a chance, in the 36th minute, when Askolds Cvimmers scored to the left of an out of position Artis Modernieks, making the score, 3-0. Artis Modernieks showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Askolds Cvimmers in the 43rd minute of the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

62 minutes into the game, one of PFK Smiltnieki:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 64th minute there was a penalty for Valda. Emanuels Kārkliņš stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Valdis Rulevics. 3-1. After 69 minutes of play, Valda's Valdis Līkums made it 3-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Valdis Rulevics was left in no man's land by his defense there! Valdis Līkums did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 3-3 to the left of a surprised Valdis Rulevics 75 minutes into the match. An unexpected shot in the 79th minute by Kristofers Judziks got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Valda's Artis Modernieks played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Georgs Vārpulis in the 82nd minute of play. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
