The supporters of FK Jelgava booed when Eizbahova was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Madars Kozbegs didn't get a good kick on the ball. Guntars Sahāns could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 20th minute of the match, but Andris Matīss made a huge save. 24 minutes into the match, FK Jelgava's goal looked a bit too open when Austrums Višņakovs came free, but Herberts Ruseckis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 25 minutes, Guntars Sahāns managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FK Jelgava's supporters crossed their fingers, but Guntars Sahāns was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Madars Kozbegs ran back to his position shaking his head. When Madars Kozbegs came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Eizbahova fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Madars Kozbegs couldn't finish the play. Madars Kozbegs recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ernests Staķēns sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Andris Matīss showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vents Mudelis in the 95th minute of the match. Eizbahova were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
