Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Madars Kozbegs took the kick off in the first half of the match. Helmuts Subatelis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Rimants Vitomskis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andris Matīss having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Austrums Višņakovs in the 18th minute of play forced FK Cirvis's goalkeeper Jānis Basmariņš to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 19 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for FK Cirvis! If Helmuts Subatelis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 30th minute, Austrums Višņakovs got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Andris Matīss showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Viesturs Pupelnieks, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Agris Ceplis kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Jānis Basmariņš. That made the score 2-0 in the 36 minute of play. Agris Ceplis blasted a shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jānis Basmariņš having to make a save. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Helmuts Subatelis was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of FK Cirvis booed when Eizbahova was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guntis Pipāns didn't get a good kick on the ball. Andris Matīss was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Andris Matīss showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Helmuts Subatelis, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. Eizbahova's Andris Matīss played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Helmuts Subatelis in the 83rd minute of play. Rimants Vitomskis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
