With an all-out effort, Bozauka's Jānis Basmariņš threw himself towards the right post 24 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Vitauts Brensmits, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Vitauts Brensmits received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Jānis Basmariņš came out and tried to block the shot, but Vitauts Brensmits slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 28th minute. 33 minutes into the match, Bozauka's goal looked a bit too open when Helmuts Subatelis came free, but Andris Erkmanis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Helmuts Subatelis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andris Erkmanis having to interfere. After having played for 36 minutes, Rimants Vitomskis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FK Cirvis's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rimants Vitomskis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 37 minutes into the game, Norberts Putrenieks was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bozauka's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FK Cirvis the free kick. Daumants Upmalis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Jānis Basmariņš tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Mareks Bindemanis fell near the penalty area in the 43rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FK Cirvis's protests and gave Mareks Bindemanis a yellow card for diving instead. In the 43rd minute, Mareks Bindemanis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ģirts Rakaris, 44 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Helmuts Subatelis was the one to do the kick off. Daumants Upmalis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Jānis Basmariņš tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in FK Cirvis's zone, Daumants Upmalis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jānis Basmariņš came out of the goal and Daumants Upmalis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Vitauts Brensmits received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. In the 67th minute, Vitauts Brensmits made a precise shot to the right of Jānis Basmariņš. FK Cirvis's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. A collision led to Bozauka getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Norberts Putrenieks hit a great ball. Helmuts Subatelis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. After a rather tough play, Bozauka's Norberts Putrenieks got a free kick in the 89th minute. Rimants Vitomskis succeeded in the game's 91st minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-1. Rimants Vitomskis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Andris Erkmanis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bozauka's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
