After 5 played minutes, FK Cirvis's Ivars Baltgailis shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Leopolds Baldonieks came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in FK Cirvis reached it. After a defensive mix-up in ☆Pőlïşĥ Šŧåŕŝ☆'s zone, Helmuts Subatelis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leopolds Baldonieks came out of the goal and Helmuts Subatelis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Leopolds Baldonieks took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Helmuts Subatelis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 18 minutes, Helmuts Subatelis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FK Cirvis's supporters crossed their fingers, but Helmuts Subatelis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ivars Omuls could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 22nd minute of the match, but Jānis Basmariņš made a huge save. In the 23rd minute, Rimants Vitomskis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Zandis Labāns fell near the penalty area in the 25th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FK Cirvis's protests and gave Zandis Labāns a yellow card for diving instead. Donats Barbāns received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Jānis Basmariņš tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 40 minutes, Helmuts Subatelis made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. ☆Pőlïşĥ Šŧåŕŝ☆'s Leopolds Baldonieks tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 45th minute Helmuts Subatelis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leopolds Baldonieks saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Helmuts Subatelis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leopolds Baldonieks having to interfere.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Donats Barbāns to make the kick off. When Helmuts Subatelis came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the FK Cirvis fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Helmuts Subatelis couldn't finish the play. Rimants Vitomskis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Leopolds Baldonieks showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Helmuts Subatelis, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. In the 79th minute, FK Cirvis's Helmuts Subatelis ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Leopolds Baldonieks. Leopolds Baldonieks yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-3. Ivars Omuls scored 1-3 in the 84th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jānis Basmariņš, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Rimants Vitomskis came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the FK Cirvis fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rimants Vitomskis couldn't finish the play. Rimants Vitomskis could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 91st minute of the match, but Leopolds Baldonieks made a huge save. When the final whistle sounded FK Cirvis left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than ☆Pőlïşĥ Šŧåŕŝ☆.
