In the 9th minute, Edijs Stefanovics ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Erlends Suminskis was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. After having played for 14 minutes, Āris Pirtslota managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Irsi's supporters crossed their fingers, but Āris Pirtslota was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 19 minutes into the match, Irsi's Ingvars Veleckis sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Varis Dīkstāvis narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Edijs Stefanovics's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Erlends Suminskis was relentless in the 21st minute of the game. Ansis Tiškevičs kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Varis Dīkstāvis, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. A collision led to Kalvini getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Sandis Rusanovs hit a great ball. After 36 minutes of play, Irsi's Āris Pirtslota made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Varis Dīkstāvis was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Edijs Stefanovics had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half Kalvini were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ilgonis Veleckis made a kick off. The audience was convinced that Ingvars Veleckis's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Varis Dīkstāvis was relentless in the 57th minute of the game. When Āris Pirtslota came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the Irsi fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Āris Pirtslota couldn't finish the play. Āris Pirtslota blasted a shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Varis Dīkstāvis having to make a save. Ingvars Veleckis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ingvars Veleckis in the 78th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Varis Dīkstāvis prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ritvaldis Ķuzis's late challenge caught a Kalvini's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ritvaldis Ķuzis helped the player get up and apologised. Ritvaldis Ķuzis kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. After having played for 82 minutes, Ilgonis Veleckis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kalvini's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ilgonis Veleckis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Varis Dīkstāvis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Āris Pirtslota, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Ingvars Veleckis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Āris Pirtslota fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Varis Dīkstāvis having to interfere. The Irsi supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Kalvini's performance. The match ended with a win for Kalvini.
