Spectators: 9348 (Terracing: 7000, Seating: 2161, VIP seats: 187) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Sidney Sabóia started the match with the kick off. Miervaldis Bārdiņš hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. 4 minutes into the match, FC BALTINAVA's goal looked a bit too open when Carl Helström came free, but Oskars Jurjānis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sidney Sabóia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Eskil Lövgren tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. FC BALTINAVA's Oskars Jurjānis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Igors Eidusējiņš in the 6th minute of play. Eskil Lövgren was out of position in the 9 minute of play, and Carolo Franco capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Carolo Franco really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Carolo Franco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. FC Brankas's Armands Virskuls got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of FC Brankas booed when FC BALTINAVA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sidney Sabóia didn't get a good kick on the ball. Oskars Jurjānis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carl Helström, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. A collision led to FC BALTINAVA getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Sidney Sabóia hit a great ball. FC BALTINAVA's Oskars Jurjānis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zemgus Lakstenis in the 29th minute of play. Igors Eidusējiņš scored 1-1 in the 32nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Oskars Jurjānis, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 37th minute Zemgus Lakstenis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oskars Jurjānis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Carolo Franco recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 45th match minute, FC BALTINAVA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sidney Sabóia to maneuver through the defense. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Igors Eidusējiņš struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Oskars Jurjānis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Brankas. In the 60thth minute of the game Carl Helström who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC BALTINAVA's Oskars Jurjānis was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Oskars Jurjānis was a little too slow when Zemgus Lakstenis got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 62nd minute. The score was now 1-2. 65 minutes into the match, FC Brankas's goal looked a bit too open when Sidney Sabóia came free, but Eskil Lövgren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, FC BALTINAVA's Felix Janko got a free kick in the 68th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Igors Eidusējiņš got free with Oskars Jurjānis in the 68th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 70 minutes FC BALTINAVA's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Armands Virskuls who took care of the corner kick. In the 74th minute, Didzis Zvagūzis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 77 minutes, Sidney Sabóia mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC BALTINAVA and the FC Brankas players grew even worse after the yellow card. Oskars Jurjānis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carl Helström, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sidney Sabóia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eskil Lövgren having to interfere. Igors Eidusējiņš's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Oskars Jurjānis read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 84th minute of play. Sidney Sabóia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 88 minutes in the game, Zemgus Lakstenis dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Eskil Lövgren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carolo Franco in the 90th minute of play. After 94 played minutes FC BALTINAVA got a freekick which was hit by Frank Löfdahl. When the match was over FC Brankas could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than FC BALTINAVA throughout the match.
