Insane Raccoons FC's Mareks Vārpiņš played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cipriano Sauveur in the 8th minute of play. Mareks Vārpiņš came out of the goal in the 10th minute to try and stop a shot by Black horses's Cipriano Sauveur. But to his dismay, Cipriano Sauveur quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Mareks Vārpiņš made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joakim Kämpe in the 12th minute of play. 13 minutes had been played when some careless play by Insane Raccoons FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Toma Chinkov was slow to take the kick. During this time Black horses's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Joakim Kämpe almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Insane Raccoons FC's Mareks Vārpiņš did a great save. Valdis Felbergs took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Teofilo Cucao, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cipriano Sauveur might have been able to make a better finish in the 17th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mareks Vārpiņš. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cipriano Sauveur ran back to his position shaking his head. Mareks Vārpiņš made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cipriano Sauveur in the 17th minute of play. Cipriano Sauveur blasted a shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mareks Vārpiņš having to make a save. In the 20th minute Cipriano Sauveur shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mareks Vārpiņš saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 22 minutes into the match, Black horses's Cipriano Sauveur sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mareks Vārpiņš narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Valdis Felbergs showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Teofilo Cucao in the 23rd minute of the match. Cipriano Sauveur scored 0-2 in the 24th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Mareks Vārpiņš, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 28 minutes into the match, Insane Raccoons FC's goal looked a bit too open when Cipriano Sauveur came free, but Mareks Vārpiņš reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cipriano Sauveur might have been able to make a better finish in the 34th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mareks Vārpiņš. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cipriano Sauveur ran back to his position shaking his head. Joakim Kämpe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mareks Vārpiņš having to interfere. Sandris Birks got a throw-in 40 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Aleksejs Gavars. If Cipriano Sauveur had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Insane Raccoons FC's Mareks Vārpiņš played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cipriano Sauveur in the 42nd minute of play. Valdis Felbergs made an important save on a dangerous shot by Severīns Pirtslāva in the 44th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Black horses's Dionisio Eguntsenti was substituted for Jakub Swierczok. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cipriano Sauveur was the one to do the kick off. Joakim Kämpe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Joakim Kämpe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 58th minute Cipriano Sauveur shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mareks Vārpiņš saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Valdis Felbergs showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Severīns Pirtslāva, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. After 67th play minutes Cipriano Sauveur shot 0-4, a short shot which went by Mareks Vārpiņš and just under the crossbar into goal. Cipriano Sauveur's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mareks Vārpiņš read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 72nd minute of play. In the 73rd minute of the match Black horses got a corner. Insane Raccoons FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Toma Chinkov ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 78th minute the ball was on its way in behind Insane Raccoons FC's goalkeeper Mareks Vārpiņš, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Mareks Vārpiņš stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cipriano Sauveur's shot from short distance in the 80th minute. Teofilo Cucao received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Valdis Felbergs tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mareks Vārpiņš made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-5. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Marco Assendelft managed to get in a good position for a shot. Black horses's supporters rose to their feet, but Marco Assendelft was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mareks Vārpiņš breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 94 minutes in the game Sandris Birks did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Aleksejs Gavars. The Black horses supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Black horses would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
