GAUJA's Toms Felss played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Artūrs Sagalats in the 19th minute of play. Jānis Lielais stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Michal Noworolnik's shot from short distance in the 20th minute. Toms Felss made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Artūrs Sagalats in the 21st minute of play. Michal Noworolnik in the 24thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Jānis Lielais, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. SK Annenieki's Jānis Lielais played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Antonio Lluis in the 28th minute of play. In the 29th minute, Reinholds Jaunzems ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Toms Felss was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. After some careless play in the GAUJA defense, Artūrs Sagalats kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Toms Felss. The GAUJA fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Toms Felss should have stopped the shot. Through an outstanding action, after 35 minutes, Jānis Lielais successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 37th minute of the match GAUJA got a corner. SK Annenieki's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Zigismunds Piekalns ran over to the corner to take the kick. Toms Skirmanis made a great header on GAUJA's corner, it was just that SK Annenieki's Jānis Lielais managed to reach the ball for a save. Jānis Lielais took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Antonio Lluis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 42nd minute Artūrs Sagalats shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Toms Felss saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Indris Tomass came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the SK Annenieki fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Indris Tomass couldn't finish the play. After the first half SK Annenieki were leading 0-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Artūrs Sagalats was the one to do the kick off. After 52 played minutes GAUJA got a freekick which was hit by Cazimir Slătineanu. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jāzeps Pics got free with Toms Felss in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Toms Felss made an important save on a dangerous shot by Artūrs Sagalats in the 55th minute. Antonio Lluis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Jānis Lielais tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. GAUJA's Toms Felss proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 61st minute of the match, managed to save GAUJA from getting a goal against them. When Michal Noworolnik came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the GAUJA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Michal Noworolnik couldn't finish the play. The goalkeeper, Toms Felss, was totally fooled by SK Annenieki's Indris Tomass, who 66 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Reinholds Jaunzems in the 69th minute of play forced GAUJA's goalkeeper Toms Felss to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 73 minutes into the match, GAUJA's goal looked a bit too open when Indris Tomass came free, but Toms Felss reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 74th minute, Indris Tomass managed to get in a good position for a shot. SK Annenieki's supporters rose to their feet, but Indris Tomass was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Toms Felss breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. SK Annenieki made a substitution. Vilis Lettlands replaced Indris Tomass. An unexpectedly hard shot by Antonio Lluis in the 82nd minute of play forced SK Annenieki's goalkeeper Jānis Lielais to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
