Spectators: 9490 (Terracing: 7100, Seating: 2200, VIP seats: 190) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Oļģerts Ezermala started the match with the kick off. Kostas Birbas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bērtulis Pupurs in the 3rd minute of the match. 7 minutes into the game, Zandis Dziesma was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Melluži's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FK LOHATRONI the free kick. In the 7th match minute, FC Melluži was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zandis Dziesma to maneuver through the defense. Kostas Birbas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bērtulis Pupurs in the 10th minute of play. In the 12th minute, Bērtulis Pupurs left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FK LOHATRONI fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. After 14 played minutes FK LOHATRONI got a freekick which was hit by Reinis Renhofs. Bērtulis Pupurs fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kostas Birbas having to interfere. Kostas Birbas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antis Voitkāns in the 17th minute of play. In the 20th minute Oļģerts Ezermala shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hugo Pavilonis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Antis Voitkāns might have been able to make a better finish in the 21st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Kostas Birbas. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Antis Voitkāns ran back to his position shaking his head. Antis Voitkāns recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Bērtulis Pupurs had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 29 minutes into the match, FK LOHATRONI's Antis Voitkāns sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Kostas Birbas narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Antis Voitkāns received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Kostas Birbas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of FK LOHATRONI booed when FC Melluži was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Inārs Purvenas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kostas Birbas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bērtulis Pupurs in the 33rd minute of play. Bērtulis Pupurs recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Kristaps Boraks hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Antis Voitkāns was the one to do the kick off. Jevgēņijs Samulēvičs charged in rather forcefully in the 50th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jevgēņijs Samulēvičs the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Jevgēņijs Samulēvičs hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. FC Melluži's Lauris Rebenis has a good shot, but didn't show it this time. The shot went over the crossbar in the 52nd minute. After a rather tough play, FK LOHATRONI's Antis Voitkāns got a free kick in the 54th minute. Hugo Pavilonis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Oļģerts Ezermala in the 55th minute of the match. FC Melluži's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Antis Voitkāns 61 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-2. After 64 minutes of play, FK LOHATRONI's Antis Voitkāns made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Kostas Birbas was left in no man's land by his defense there! With an all-out effort, FK LOHATRONI's Kostas Birbas threw himself towards the right post 67 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Antis Voitkāns, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. FC Melluži's Kostas Birbas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Antis Voitkāns in the 69th minute of play. The FK LOHATRONI fans' excitement grew in the 75th match minute when FK LOHATRONI's Antis Voitkāns looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-4 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. FK LOHATRONI made a substitution. Orests Lesčinskis replaced Tomass Bundzenieks. Bērtulis Pupurs sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Miks Pudenieks during the 80th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 80 played minutes FK LOHATRONI got a freekick which was hit by Miks Pudenieks. In the 82nd minute, Oļģerts Ezermala hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bērtulis Pupurs might have been able to make a better finish in the 84th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Kostas Birbas. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bērtulis Pupurs ran back to his position shaking his head. Antis Voitkāns succeeded in the game's 84th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-5. The supporters of FK LOHATRONI booed when FC Melluži was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Inārs Purvenas didn't get a good kick on the ball.
