Juras Dailidonis started the match with the kick off. Juras Dailidonis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leonas Lozys having to interfere. 10 minutes into the match, Columbia University's goalkeeper Rytis Ablingis had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alfonsas Drevinskas. In the 14th minute, Arūnas Balčiūnas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Leonas Lozys didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Oskaras Erniulis went, in the 17th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. After having played for 21 minutes, Airūnas Jatulevičius managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vabaly's supporters crossed their fingers, but Airūnas Jatulevičius was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rytis Ablingis made a fantastic save in the 22nd minute, when Alfonsas Drevinskas sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, Vabaly's Eitautas Prakapas got a free kick in the 27th minute. Juras Dailidonis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Juras Dailidonis in the 30th minute of play forced Vabaly's goalkeeper Leonas Lozys to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 36 minutes, Airūnas Jatulevičius managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vabaly's supporters crossed their fingers, but Airūnas Jatulevičius was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 40th minute Airūnas Jatulevičius shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rytis Ablingis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rytis Ablingis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Airūnas Jatulevičius, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Columbia University's Drąsutis Kibildis got a free kick in the 43rd minute. The long shot by Linas Urnikis in the 44th minute really tested Rytis Ablingis's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Rytis Ablingis stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Airūnas Jatulevičius's shot from short distance in the 47th minute. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Airūnas Jatulevičius to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 51st match minute, Columbia University was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Drąsutis Kibildis to maneuver through the defense. Juras Dailidonis kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. Airūnas Jatulevičius received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Rytis Ablingis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Juras Dailidonis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 67 minutes into the match, Columbia University's goal looked a bit too open when Airūnas Jatulevičius came free, but Rytis Ablingis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 69th minute the ball was on its way in behind Columbia University's goalkeeper Rytis Ablingis, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 71st minute, Eligijus Dargis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vabaly:s Leonas Lozys showed great skill when he stopped Algimantas Kaveckas:s penalty. Columbia University's Rytis Ablingis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Airūnas Jatulevičius in the 88th minute of play. 91 minutes into the match, Vabaly's Linas Urnikis broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Oskaras Erniulis could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 93rd minute of the match, but Leonas Lozys made a huge save. The Columbia University players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
