After a defensive mix-up in FK Poshaltune's zone, Virgilijus Juknevicius stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aidas Maziliauskas came out of the goal and Virgilijus Juknevicius tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Aidas Maziliauskas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Virgilijus Juknevicius, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, FK Poshaltune's Aivaras Tamošauskas got a free kick in the 16th minute. After 19 minutes, Vitalijus Jasas mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Medyniki and the FK Poshaltune players grew even worse after the yellow card. Vitalijus Jasas hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. When Tautvydas Raugalas came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the FK Poshaltune fans jumped to their feet. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Stanislovas Kuliesius managed to get in a good position for a shot. Medyniki's supporters rose to their feet, but Stanislovas Kuliesius was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aidas Maziliauskas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Andrejus Balkevicius fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aidas Maziliauskas having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eugenijus Bacevičius in the 63rd minute of play forced Medyniki's goalkeeper Sergejus Petreikis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of FK Poshaltune booed when Medyniki was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stanislovas Kuliesius didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aivaras Tamošauskas in the 71st minute of play forced Medyniki's goalkeeper Sergejus Petreikis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
