Skirmantas Satkus fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 2nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nerūnas Gruzdas having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Donatas Jagminas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nerūnas Gruzdas was relentless in the 4th minute of the game. After some fancy dribbling in the 5th minute, Donatas Jagminas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Siauliai's supporters rose to their feet, but Donatas Jagminas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nerūnas Gruzdas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 7 minutes, Donatas Jagminas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Siauliai's supporters crossed their fingers, but Donatas Jagminas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 9th minute, Stasys Kilčiauskas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 15 minutes into the match, FC Virusai's goalkeeper Nerūnas Gruzdas had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Skirmantas Satkus. Titas Grigaitis's late challenge caught a Siauliai's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Titas Grigaitis helped the player get up and apologised. In the 15th minute, Titas Grigaitis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 20 minutes into the match, FC Virusai's goal looked a bit too open when Donatas Jagminas came free, but Nerūnas Gruzdas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Skirmantas Satkus received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Nerūnas Gruzdas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Donatas Jagminas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Siauliai's supporters rose to their feet, but Donatas Jagminas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nerūnas Gruzdas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 31st play minute Skirmantas Satkus came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Nerūnas Gruzdas. 1-0. Nerūnas Gruzdas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rytis Gudauskas in the 35th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, FC Virusai's Eigirdas Žalnerauskas got a free kick in the 35th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Eugenijus Basys during the 37th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In a very dangerous position, a player in FC Virusai fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 36th minute. Penalty! Mantas Dargis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daugirdas Pyragis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Daugirdas Pyragis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mantas Dargis having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Donatas Jagminas to make the kick off. In the 51st minute Donatas Jagminas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nerūnas Gruzdas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Skirmantas Satkus blasted a shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Nerūnas Gruzdas having to make a save. In the 56thth minute of the game Donatas Jagminas who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Virusai's Nerūnas Gruzdas was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some careless play in the FC Virusai defense, Donatas Jagminas kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nerūnas Gruzdas. The FC Virusai fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nerūnas Gruzdas should have stopped the shot. After a defensive mix-up in FC Virusai's zone, Skirmantas Satkus stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nerūnas Gruzdas came out of the goal and Skirmantas Satkus tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Donatas Jagminas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Siauliai's supporters rose to their feet, but Donatas Jagminas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. The supporters of Siauliai booed when FC Virusai was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eugenijus Basys didn't get a good kick on the ball. Skirmantas Satkus recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Nerūnas Gruzdas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Donatas Jagminas in the 80th minute of play. Nerūnas Gruzdas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Donatas Jagminas in the 81st minute of the match. When Siauliai's Donatas Jagminas in the 85th minute got a chance for a shot 85th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye FC Virusai's goalie prevented a goal. After some careless play in the FC Virusai defense, Donatas Jagminas kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nerūnas Gruzdas. The FC Virusai fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nerūnas Gruzdas should have stopped the shot. Nerūnas Gruzdas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Donatas Jagminas, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Siauliai fully deserved thier win.
