Karolis Danauskas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vincentas Puidokas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Linas Lukšys having to interfere. Domas Sakalauskas hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in TAURAS's zone, Vincentas Puidokas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Linas Lukšys came out of the goal and Vincentas Puidokas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 13 minutes into the game, Zalgiris Vilnius's Karolis Danauskas nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Linas Lukšys made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. When Zalgiris Vilnius's Vincentas Puidokas in the 16th minute got a chance for a shot 16th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye TAURAS's goalie prevented a goal. If Vincentas Puidokas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 20 minutes, Beržas Lapėnas made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. TAURAS's Linas Lukšys tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Beržas Lapėnas might have been able to make a better finish in the 22nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Linas Lukšys. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Beržas Lapėnas ran back to his position shaking his head. Beržas Lapėnas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Zalgiris Vilnius getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Karolis Danauskas hit a great ball. Vincentas Puidokas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Linas Lukšys having to interfere. Linas Lukšys made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vincentas Puidokas in the 40th minute of play. In the 41st minute Vincentas Puidokas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Linas Lukšys saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 44 minutes into the game, Zalgiris Vilnius's Beržas Lapėnas nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Linas Lukšys made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. After 47 played minutes TAURAS got a freekick which was hit by Pranas Jarulis. After the first half Zalgiris Vilnius were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Žydrūnas Smailys made the kick off in the second half. Beržas Lapėnas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Linas Lukšys tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Miglius Dailidė kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. 56 minutes into the game, Rūtenis Kardelis was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. TAURAS's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Zalgiris Vilnius the free kick. In the 57th minute, Rūtenis Kardelis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 63 played minutes TAURAS got a freekick which was hit by Žydrūnas Smailys. In the 67th minute, Sikstas Sereika hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 72 minutes into the game, Vincentas Puidokas cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Linas Lukšys was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Beržas Lapėnas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Linas Lukšys tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Vincentas Puidokas kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Linas Lukšys. That made the score 0-5 in the 79 minute of play. In the 87th minute, Beržas Lapėnas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Beržas Lapėnas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Linas Lukšys having to interfere. Beržas Lapėnas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 93 minutes of play, Zalgiris Vilnius's Steven Moorlag made it 0-7 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Linas Lukšys was left in no man's land by his defense there! Zalgiris Vilnius played a much better game than TAURAS and deserved their victory. The TAURAS players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
