Linas Matukas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Antanas Ričkus having to interfere. Antanas Ričkus stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Vaidotas Juozapavičius's shot from short distance in the 10th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Petras Gavėnas in the 11th minute of play forced Columbia University's goalkeeper Vitoldas Jarulis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Klemensas Bučys took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 18th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Vitoldas Jarulis. Columbia University's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Vitoldas Jarulis made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Rimas Užkuraitis sent off a good shot on target. Vitoldas Jarulis made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rimas Užkuraitis in the 21st minute. In the 22nd minute, Linas Matukas ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Antanas Ričkus was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. After 25 played minutes Columbia University got a freekick which was hit by Arnoldas Cicėnas. In the 31st minute, Rimas Užkuraitis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 37th minute of the match Zanfagnese FC got a corner. Columbia University's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Žilvinas Lukauskas ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Žilvinas Lukauskas almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Columbia University's Vitoldas Jarulis did a great save. Antanas Ričkus showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vaidotas Juozapavičius in the 40th minute of the match. Antanas Ričkus showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vaidotas Juozapavičius, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. After a rather tough play, Zanfagnese FC's Deividas Butvilas got a free kick in the 42nd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Columbia University's zone, Rimas Užkuraitis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vitoldas Jarulis came out of the goal and Rimas Užkuraitis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

Columbia University's Kristupas Švambaris got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Kristupas Švambaris received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Antanas Ričkus tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Columbia University's Vaidotas Juozapavičius got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Columbia University booed when Zanfagnese FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Žilvinas Lukauskas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vitoldas Jarulis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Petras Gavėnas in the 77th minute of play. Kristupas Švambaris's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Antanas Ričkus read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 79th minute of play. Antanas Ričkus made an important save on a dangerous shot by Vaidotas Juozapavičius in the 85th minute. Linas Matukas hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. Vitoldas Jarulis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rimas Užkuraitis, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. Vaidotas Juozapavičius struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. Antanas Ričkus didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Columbia University. Sikstas Spudys's late challenge caught a Columbia University's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sikstas Spudys helped the player get up and apologised. In the 98th match minute, Zanfagnese FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sikstas Spudys to maneuver through the defense. Columbia University were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
