In the 7th minute, Mindaugas Norutis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Virginijus Rusteikis's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Irtautas Baliukonis read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 8th minute of play. 12 minutes into the game, Tuste Rajoi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Mazeikiu ROMAR's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Iodeykyay the free kick. In the 12th match minute, FC Mazeikiu ROMAR was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tuste Rajoi to maneuver through the defense. Mindaugas Norutis's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 17thth minute, Irtautas Baliukonis skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 18th match minute, Iodeykyay was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Laimonas Kaupelis to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Iodeykyay's zone, Jarne Van Mellaert stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Irtautas Baliukonis came out of the goal and Jarne Van Mellaert tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 21 minutes into the match, FC Mazeikiu ROMAR's Virginijus Rusteikis sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Irtautas Baliukonis narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Mindaugas Norutis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Irtautas Baliukonis having to interfere. Juras Balčaitis took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 24th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Irtautas Baliukonis. Iodeykyay's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Augustinas Pažarauskas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ramūnas Macius read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 26th minute of play. Ramūnas Macius showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benas Damaševicius in the 29th minute of the match. In the 33rd minute Benas Damaševicius shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ramūnas Macius saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 35 played minutes, Iodeykyay's Vygantas Urniežius shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ramūnas Macius came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Iodeykyay reached it. When Merūnas Tiškevičius fell near the penalty area in the 35th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Mazeikiu ROMAR's protests and gave Merūnas Tiškevičius a yellow card for diving instead. In the 36th minute, Merūnas Tiškevičius hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ramūnas Macius showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Augustinas Pažarauskas, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. Virginijus Rusteikis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Irtautas Baliukonis having to interfere. The supporters of FC Mazeikiu ROMAR booed when Iodeykyay was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Augustinas Kondrotas didn't get a good kick on the ball.

The audience was convinced that Mindaugas Norutis's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Irtautas Baliukonis was relentless in the 54th minute of the game. Irtautas Baliukonis came out of the goal in the 55th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Mazeikiu ROMAR's Mindaugas Norutis. But to his dismay, Mindaugas Norutis quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. With an all-out effort, Iodeykyay's Ramūnas Macius threw himself towards the right post 61 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Augustinas Pažarauskas, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 65th minute of the match FC Mazeikiu ROMAR got a corner. Iodeykyay's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Jarne Van Mellaert ran over to the corner to take the kick. If Mindaugas Norutis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Iodeykyay's Augustinas Kondrotas shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 73rd minute of play. The shot was stopped by Ramūnas Macius but with some difficulty. An unexpectedly hard shot by Augustinas Pažarauskas in the 79th minute of play forced FC Mazeikiu ROMAR's goalkeeper Ramūnas Macius to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Virginijus Rusteikis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Ramūnas Macius was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
