The FBK Šalča fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rimvydas Mečionis should have stopped the shot. 84 minutes into the game, Vygandas Karvelis recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Rimvydas Mečionis. Vygandas Karvelis showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-6. 88 minutes into the match, 1990 Gargzdai's Airūnas Šidlauskas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rimvydas Mečionis narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 89th minute of the match, Airūnas Šidlauskas tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Rimvydas Mečionis saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The FBK Šalča fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. 1990 Gargzdai were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
