In the 12th match minute, Valatkiskiai was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Orestas Vaitkevičius to maneuver through the defense. Vismantas Andriekus received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. The audience was convinced that Vismantas Andriekus's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Faustas Šileika was relentless in the 17th minute of the game. When Vismantas Andriekus came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the Real Betis Balompié fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vismantas Andriekus couldn't finish the play. Faustas Šileika made a fantastic save in the 32nd minute, when Laimonas Stankunas sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to Valatkiskiai getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Bronislovas Baleika hit a great ball. In the 41st minute, Henrikas Kairelis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

In the 75th minute Aras Galinis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gintautas Martinkus saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Laimonas Stankunas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Real Betis Balompié's Gintautas Martinkus got control of the ball when Žygimantas Vaičiulis tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
