Rupertas Asauskas was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Rupertas Asauskas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vydas Leimontas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 23 played minutes FK Pakruojis got a freekick which was hit by Virgilijus Jasas. Vydas Leimontas might have been able to make a better finish in the 28th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rupertas Asauskas. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Vydas Leimontas ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 34th minute Vydas Leimontas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rupertas Asauskas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Eugenijus Sartauskas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rimas Pankratjevas charged in rather forcefully in the 41st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rimas Pankratjevas the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The referee ignored FC VYTAUTAS's protests and gave Laimutis Geldutis a yellow card for diving instead. Laimutis Geldutis kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in FC VYTAUTAS's zone, Eugenijus Sartauskas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Irtautas Grigonis came out of the goal and Eugenijus Sartauskas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Vydas Leimontas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rupertas Asauskas having to interfere. When Rokas Doveikis came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the FK Pakruojis fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rokas Doveikis couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in FK Pakruojis's zone, Vydas Leimontas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rupertas Asauskas came out of the goal and Vydas Leimontas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The FK Pakruojis fans cheered their team off the field, for while FC VYTAUTAS had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
