The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the match, FK Slupariai's Aidas Alūzas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Augustinas Andriušaitis narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Marius Beniušis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Göran Bremming received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Augustinas Andriušaitis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 12th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Akmenes Skaudučiai's goalkeeper Augustinas Andriušaitis, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 15th minute Aidas Alūzas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Augustinas Andriušaitis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. FC Akmenes Skaudučiai's Augustinas Andriušaitis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Göran Bremming in the 16th minute of play. Augustinas Andriušaitis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aidas Alūzas in the 18th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Aidas Alūzas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Augustinas Andriušaitis was relentless in the 20th minute of the game. FC Akmenes Skaudučiai's Alius Baltrūnas quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Lauro Fontes, made in the 22nd minute of the game. In the 24th minute, Anibal Hodei got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Augustinas Andriušaitis was out of position in the 28 minute of play, and Aidas Alūzas capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Lauro Fontes's late challenge caught a FC Akmenes Skaudučiai's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lauro Fontes helped the player get up and apologised. In the 38th minute, Adomas Dovydėnas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. FC Akmenes Skaudučiai's Augustinas Andriušaitis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aidas Alūzas in the 41st minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The supporters of FK Slupariai booed when FC Akmenes Skaudučiai was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dovydas Dargvainis didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Marius Beniušis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Augustinas Andriušaitis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Göran Bremming in the 54th minute of play. In the 55th minute, Göran Bremming left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FK Slupariai fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. 62 minutes into the match, Göran Bremming had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Augustinas Andriušaitis. FC Akmenes Skaudučiai's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Göran Bremming was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. In the 65th minute, Ovidijus Rindzevičius hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vaidotas Burkys sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Aidas Alūzas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Augustinas Andriušaitis having to interfere. When Göran Bremming came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the FK Slupariai fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Göran Bremming couldn't finish the play. FC Akmenes Skaudučiai's Augustinas Andriušaitis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adomas Dovydėnas in the 84th minute of play. Göran Bremming fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Augustinas Andriušaitis having to interfere. Augustinas Andriušaitis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Iustinian Timaru, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. When Göran Bremming came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the FK Slupariai fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Göran Bremming couldn't finish the play. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. FK Slupariai had played much better football throughout.
