The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vydas Linkus in the 4th minute of play forced nesamone's goalkeeper Vytautas Andužis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pranas Mikočionis's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Vytautas Andužis read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 6th minute of play. The supporters of nesamone booed when FC BAOBABAS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Darius Ablingis didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Benas Stankevičius fell near the penalty area in the 14th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC BAOBABAS's protests and gave Benas Stankevičius a yellow card for diving instead. Augustas Uogintas scored 1-0 in the 16th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Aidas Milašius, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Kęstutis Gražulis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aidas Milašius having to interfere. Darius Ablingis hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. In the 27th minute, Darius Ablingis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Pranas Mikočionis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, nesamone's Tautrimas Čepas got a free kick in the 30th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Pranas Mikočionis managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC BAOBABAS's supporters rose to their feet, but Pranas Mikočionis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vytautas Andužis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Vytautas Andužis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vydas Linkus in the 37th minute of play. Vydas Linkus received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Vytautas Andužis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to FC BAOBABAS getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Darius Ablingis hit a great ball. Augustas Uogintas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 48th minute of the match, but Aidas Milašius made a huge save.

Darius Ablingis hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in FC BAOBABAS's zone, Rapolas Krištopaitis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aidas Milašius came out of the goal and Rapolas Krištopaitis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. FC BAOBABAS's Linas Fokas managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Dalius Jurkus in the 57 minute of the game. 64 minutes into the match, nesamone's goal looked a bit too open when Vydas Linkus came free, but Vytautas Andužis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 65th match minute, nesamone was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eurelijus Bauža to maneuver through the defense. 68 minutes into the game, nesamone's Tautrimas Čepas nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Aidas Milašius made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. FC BAOBABAS's Aidas Milašius played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dalius Jurkus in the 71st minute of play. In the 71st match minute, FC BAOBABAS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Darius Ablingis to maneuver through the defense. Aidas Milašius took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rapolas Krištopaitis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 74th minute, Darius Ablingis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rapolas Krištopaitis in the 76th minute of play forced FC BAOBABAS's goalkeeper Aidas Milašius to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pranas Mikočionis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vytautas Andužis having to interfere. When Vydas Linkus came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the FC BAOBABAS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vydas Linkus couldn't finish the play. In the 96th minute Eurelijus Bauža shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aidas Milašius saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Many of FC BAOBABAS's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. FC BAOBABAS may have spent more time on the ball, but nesamone were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
