Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) SM Jaunimelis's Tomas Staškus started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Tomas Staškus's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Vytaras Smilgys read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 4th minute of play. Antanas Makelevičius received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Vytaras Smilgys tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 18th minute Eduardas Motiejūnas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Justas Diliūnas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vytaras Smilgys showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Antanas Makelevičius in the 22nd minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Eduardas Motiejūnas in the 24th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Justas Diliūnas saved SM Jaunimelis from getting behind. Gvidonas Babravičius recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, SM Jaunimelis's Vytaras Dagys got a free kick in the 28th minute. Gvidonas Babravičius sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in SM Jaunimelis's zone, Gvidonas Babravičius stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Justas Diliūnas came out of the goal and Gvidonas Babravičius tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. SM Jaunimelis's Vytaras Dagys got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Airenai's Vytaras Smilgys played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Antanas Makelevičius in the 42nd minute of play. In the 44thth minute of the game Tomas Staškus who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Airenai's Vytaras Smilgys was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Vytaras Smilgys showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Staškus, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Eduardas Motiejūnas was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd match minute, SM Jaunimelis was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Naglis Palčiauskas to maneuver through the defense. Antanas Makelevičius in the 56thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Vytaras Smilgys, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. A wasted opportunity for Airenai. Lukas Rinkevičius hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. After 71 played minutes Airenai got a freekick which was hit by Klemensas Baltūsis. The audience was convinced that Tomas Staškus's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Vytaras Smilgys was relentless in the 76th minute of the game. 79 minutes into the game, Kipras Badauskas was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Airenai's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SM Jaunimelis the free kick. Kipras Badauskas hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. Tomas Staškus might have been able to make a better finish in the 86th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Vytaras Smilgys. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tomas Staškus ran back to his position shaking his head. If Antanas Makelevičius had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
