With a couple of smart ball manuevers Haroldas Lapkauskas in the 7th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Romas Alijošius saved FK Ghose from getting behind. Jotautas Čepulis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emilis Danilaitis having to interfere. In the 13th minute Jotautas Domkus shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emilis Danilaitis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Romas Alijošius showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Haroldas Lapkauskas in the 14th minute of the match. When Arnas Janulionis came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the FBK Shyaulyay fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Arnas Janulionis couldn't finish the play. Jotautas Domkus sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nerūnas Špokas kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. Jotautas Domkus fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emilis Danilaitis having to interfere. After 27 played minutes FBK Shyaulyay got a freekick which was hit by Vladas Skersys. After 29 played minutes Jotautas Domkus rounded FBK Shyaulyay's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-0. Arnas Janulionis might have been able to make a better finish in the 32nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Romas Alijošius. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Arnas Janulionis ran back to his position shaking his head. After a defensive mix-up in FBK Shyaulyay's zone, Jotautas Domkus stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Emilis Danilaitis came out of the goal and Jotautas Domkus tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Emilis Danilaitis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jotautas Domkus, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. Lukas Kaunas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Emilis Danilaitis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nerūnas Špokas kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jotautas Domkus in the 44th minute of play forced FBK Shyaulyay's goalkeeper Emilis Danilaitis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Arnas Janulionis stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the match, Agnius Masaitis notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of FBK Shyaulyay's Emilis Danilaitis. FK Ghose's Jotautas Domkus got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 77 minutes into the match, Jotautas Domkus had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Emilis Danilaitis. FBK Shyaulyay's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jotautas Domkus was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. The supporters of FBK Shyaulyay booed when FK Ghose was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Agnius Masaitis didn't get a good kick on the ball. Emilis Danilaitis stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jotautas Domkus's shot from short distance in the 83rd minute. Romas Alijošius showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arnas Janulionis, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. When FK Ghose's Jotautas Domkus in 87 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Emilis Danilaitis guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. Lukas Kaunas kicked well hit freekick during the 97th minute of the match. FK Ghose's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
